What's love anyway?
What does it mean to love unconditionally? Did you know that love is a choice and not a feeling? That's right, we choose to love someone. When we make that choice then we change our thinking and then our feelings fall into place. In the Indian culture along with several other cultures, marriages are arranged. The parents of the bride and groom arrange each other's partners and often there is also money involved. Now, I am not advocating arranged marriages,...
I do believe that we should each individually have the choice as to who we spend the rest of our lives with. However, the point I'm trying to get to, is that it is very common for the arranged partners to fall in love with one another. I believe this happens with them choosing to love. They are committed to each other through holy matrimony and are basically forced into a life where they need to make things work.
Here in the western world we take marriage and relationships in general, very lightly. We are free to choose who we marry or befriend, we give the relationship a shot but if it doesn't work out for one reason or another we are usually quick to toss it away. We take love for granted! Why? Created to love
When we choose to love and keep positive thoughts active in our minds, we experience peace, good health and are more apt to live a happy and full life! So, my question is... Why would we choose not to love unconditionally and uncontrollably? You have the power to create your own exquisite life of love! Just CHOOSE love!
